**Contribute to transforming the future of health in this position**:
- **Flexible working supported to balance your work and lifestyle**:
- **Based in our Northern region**
Join Te Whatu Ora at a key time, where you will meaningfully contribute to our kaupapa of creating a more equitable, accessible, cohesive and people-centred health system. This mahi will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under Te Tiriti o Waitangi | The Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.
We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.
The RIT Coordinator reports into the Regional Integration Team Lead within the Office of the Regional Wayfinder. The purpose of the RIT Coordinator is to provide day to day coordination and administration support to ensure the team's work is delivered on time and to a high-quality standard, including the provision of the secretariat function to the RIT. The Regional Integration team ensures cohesion and alignment across Te Whatu Ora business units and Te Aka Whai ora within one of the four Te Whatu Ora regions and delivers an agreed regional work programme.
**This role is based in the Northern Region, which is made up of Northland, Waitematā, Auckland and Counties Manukau. You will need to be based in the region. Your location can be discussed at interview stage.**
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā weako | Skills and experience**
- Take a collaborative approach to ensure that the health system is delivering the Pae Ora Act requirements and implementing the resultant system-wide transformation priorities.
- Oversee the implementation of the Regional Health Services Plan.
- Maintain appropriate oversight of system-wide performance across a region and identify inequitable variation in outcomes within and between regions.
- Make decisions and implement solutions as needed to address emergent pressure points.
- Provide regional advice to help inform national strategy and priority areas for delivery services and enabling functions.
- Partner with other regional integration teams and national teams to ensure national consistency in decision-making where appropriate.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples groups.
**Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join us**
When you join us, you become part of transforming the health system. This is a once in a life-time change, which will touch the lives of everyone in Aotearoa for generations.
Our name, Te Whatu Ora, means ‘the weaving of wellness'. Whatu is the combining of people, resources, organisations, thoughts and actions for the betterment and wellbeing of all. Whatu is also a direct reference to the pupil of the eye, and the vision required of the new entity and system.
We are working towards a system that better meets the complex demands of a growing population, addresses the persistent inequalities experienced by Māori and ensures improved access, experience and outcomes for those traditionally not well served by the system - Māori, Pacific and Disabled People.
**Tō mātou whakahaere ki te tika, te rerekētanga, me te whai wāhi mai | Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion**
**Me pēhea te tuku tono | How to apply.
