To help us pursue our investment pipeline and successfully execute these projects, we’re in need of a Quality Assurance Specialist for Major Projects. This is a critical, newly created role which focuses on ensuring we have and follow the right processes for a successful delivery of Contact’s Major Projects programme, reduce total cost of ownership for new build plants and that our renewable development costs remain leading in the industry.

This role sits in our Major Project Group which is tasked with the job of providing breakthrough project delivery whilst building capability for current and future projects.

**Job Description**:
This key position reports to the Head of Major Projects Project Controls. The incumbent will be required to work with different team leaders and other team members in an integrated and collaborative manner.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all Standards, systems, and procedures meet the required quality standards for the engineering and construction project. This position will be responsible for managing and implementing the project's quality management program, monitoring the adherence to the program, and assuring the quality of the work performed by the project team.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project's quality management program, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Review quality assurance plans and other quality-related documents submitted by contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure the project team's adherence to the project's quality management program, contractual requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve quality assurance issues and non-conformances, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct audits of the project team, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to assess compliance with the project's quality management program and contractual requirements.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective and preventive action reports, are maintained and managed in accordance with project requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs and initiatives to promote a culture of quality within the project team and contractor and supplier organizations.
- Participate in project planning and execution activities, including design reviews, construction inspections, and commissioning and startup activities, to ensure that quality requirements are incorporated into project deliverables.
- Liaise with the project team, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that quality assurance issues are communicated effectively and resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide regular reports on the status of the project's quality management program to the Project Directors, Project Managers and other stakeholders as required.

**Qualifications**:
What will set you apart in this role is the fact that you are a technically astute, relationship focussed quality assurance professional who can follow through with meticulous planning and attention to detail.

Other skills and experience we would like you to possess as below:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, or a related field would be an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control in the engineering and construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to quality management in the engineering and construction industry.
- Experience in developing and implementing quality management programs and procedures.
- Relevant certifications, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), are preferred.
- Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and comfort in working ‘in the grey’.
- Willingness to canvas diversity of thought.
