ABOUT THE ROLE
You will report to General Manager, Finance Operations and work in a newly created role leading the accounting compliance team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting compliant with AU and NZ accounting and regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Protect the organisation’s balance sheet by working closely with the GM Finance Operations to implement sound risk management and effective governance, controls and reporting
- Improve systems and processes to meet the evolving needs of the organisation
- Ensure all CA ANZ Group statutory and regulatory returns are completed accurately, and lodged on time (income tax, FBT, GST and financial statements)
- Meet all internal and external audit requirements to ensure timely audit clearance at financial year-end
- Manage the Group’s working capital & treasury requirements and banking arrangements
- Manage the Group insurance program including annual renewals

ABOUT YOU
You will have demonstrable technical accounting expertise in international environments (specifically in Australia and New Zealand).

You will
- Proven experience managing a financial reporting function with knowledge of treasury and tax requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation at senior levels and external service providers
- Lead and enable your team - mentor and provide career development
- Manage a geographically dispersed team
- Be highly organised, deadline driven and have strong attention to detail
- Possess exceptional communication skills

Your strong financial process and systems understanding will see you work closely with General Manager, Finance Operations and other senior members of the Finance team to identify improvements and implement transformational initiatives.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of Sydney or Wellington, New Zealand. Competitive salary on offer and is commensurate with experience.
