Your role at Clorox:
We are looking for a sales professional with FMCG retail experience to join our high performing NZ Sales Team in the role of Northern Regional Sales Manager.

This role will focus on developing and maintaining sales relationships with Foodstuffs NZ - North Island as well as managing a team of 5 x Territory Manager field sales employees across the top half of the North Island.

In this role, you will:

- Manage and lead 5 x Territory Managers in the North Island NZ by setting KPIs, coaching and creating development plans for the team.
- Manage all categories in Foodstuffs North Island business.
- Develop sales plans and coordinate marketing strategies for the Foodstuffs North Island business.
- Develop and maintain sales relationships with the Business Teams at Foodstuffs North Island.
- Evaluate and lead the team to develop strategies, solutions and opportunities for category portfolio.

Deliver FSNI Annual targets for our portfolio of categories.
- Execute Annual Plan and KPIs for each category.
- Identify new sales opportunities both at central and store level, and develop plans to implement.
- Work with FSNI, developing, implementing and monitoring jointly agreed shared objectives and plan within trade spending guidelines / procedures.

Develop FSNI sales strategies aligned with FSNI strategic objectives,
- Develop outstanding strategic relationships with customer at central office, and strong partnership relationships also at store level, integrating their strategic priorities into our customer strategy and business plans
- Partner with category team and marketing to develop customer strategies and plans, for each category of our portfolio, including best launch plans for innovation
- Lead customer category review processes, aligned with Category and Brand to propose FSNI best in class category growth strategies and optimized AMPS.

Management of the Territory Management team for top half of the North Island
- Setting KPIs, coaching and creating development plans for teach team member within the GPS framework
- Clear communication of the plan to the Territory Managers and Merchandising Team / customer staff at store level, to enable the team to maximize results and drive customer influence at the store level.

What we look for:
Skills and Abilities
- 3 + years’ experience working in a similar sales role (eg. Regional Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, National Account Manager, Category Manager) within the FMCG retail industry (grocery is highly preferable).
- Experience dealing with Foodstuffs NZ North Island is highly preferable.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- People management and leadership experience is highly preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Intermediate data analytics skills and confident in using Excel and a variety of data systems.

Develops effective plans and preventive & contingency actions. Strong FMCG sales background with an exceptional focus on articulating the needs to the customer through the business.

Adaptation & Flexibility: Manages or embraces change effectively. Shows confidence in ambiguous and stressful situations. Views problems as opportunities. Welcomes feedback from others.

Education Level/Degree: Degree qualified in the discipline of Business or equivalent is preferred.
