**About the role (permanent)**:
As Communications Advisor Capability and Channels, you'll be part of the team that builds trust and confidence in the mahi of Te Tari Taiwhenua through impactful communications. Working across the enterprise with a visual and technical communications focus, you will have the opportunity to advise colleagues and support communications that are part of significant initiatives that help the Department achieve its outcomes.
You'll work across the organisation to deliver, connect, inspire, identify, and coordinate visual and technical communications opportunities (i.e., graphic design, web publishing, content creation, video creation) including its effectiveness (analytics, reporting). You will build and maintain influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role also helps mentor and build capability amongst communications advisors in the wider group.

**About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Proven attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality content and graphical material for print, online and social media.
- Strong understanding of best practice in brand management, accessibility standards, design and web publishing (online and print).
- Strong understanding of visual communications practices and theory, familiarity with Government Web and Accessibility Standards and requirements.
- Proven experience with metrics-based reporting and analytics to monitor the effectiveness of our Communications capabilities and channels, and to provide relevant and valuable business insights.
