**Position Overview**:
As an Export Import Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the international trade operations of the company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations, coordinating logistics, and facilitating the smooth movement of goods across borders. Your expertise in import and export procedures, documentation, and international trade regulations will be essential in this role. you will be provided minimum of 30 hours per week and require to work outside standard office hours whenever required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Import and Export Documentation: Prepare, review, and process import and export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, customs declarations, and certificates of origin. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of both exporting and importing countries.
**_ Customs Compliance_**: Stay up to date with customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade agreements to ensure compliance. Classify products according to customs tariff codes and determine duty rates, tariffs, and trade restrictions. Coordinate with customs authorities and handle customs clearance processes.
**_ Freight Management:_** Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, including negotiating freight rates, selecting carriers, and arranging shipments. Ensure timely delivery and track shipments to ensure smooth movement across borders.
**_ Supply Chain Coordination:_** Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including procurement, sales, and warehouse teams, to ensure the availability and timely movement of goods. Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and production schedules to optimize supply chain efficiency.
**_ Risk Assessment and Mitigation_**: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Analyze and assess compliance risks, trade barriers, and embargoed countries. Implement measures to ensure trade compliance and minimize potential disruptions.
**_ International Trade Documentation:_** Prepare and manage documentation related to international trade agreements, letters of credit, and other financial instruments. Collaborate with banks and financial institutions to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
**Vendor and Customer Management**: Maintain relationships with international suppliers, agents, freight forwarders, and customers. Negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure smooth communication and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
**_ Continuous Improvement:_** Monitor and evaluate trade processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices. Stay updated with industry trends, new regulations, and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and optimize costs.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
Proficient in using trade management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international stakeholders.
Knowledge of a second language, especially related to the companys target markets, is a plus.
