As a Systems Audit Specialist you will be travelling regularly within New Zealand.
You will carry out audits that underpin New Zealand's $50 billion food and primary industries export trade. You will visit businesses across New Zealand to confirm that they are complying with New Zealand's, and where relevant, overseas country requirements. Your findings will help to improve our systems and ensure that they are fit for purpose.

You will audit the recognised agencies and persons to make sure that they are carrying out their specified functions and activities as intended.
You will normally carry out audits in a sector that you are familiar with, however we encourage auditors to increase the scope of the sectors that they can work with over time by supporting other audits.
In between audits you will be doing the administrative part of the role, planning future audits, reporting, training and as time permits other MPI work relevant to your field of expertise.
