The Sector Operations Team is central to the funding of Health services in Aotearoa. Spread across three locations, our people come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have great customer service in common.

**Your new role**

As a Payments Officer, you will be our community member's first impression when they contact the Te Whatu Ora for support around health payments. You will answer queries from the public and Health Practitioners. You'll turn up each day to deliver a consistent and positive experience for our community.
You'll be part of a team of professionals who will help you to be the best you can be. At the end of each day you'll go home knowing you've made a genuine difference to our community. We also have great flexible working options available, which include being able to split your work time between the office and home. This role is a great introduction to the wider Health Sector for those interested in a career in health.

Primary purpose of this role is to provide efficient processing of payment transactions and monitoring data, financial systems integrity, payment, and eligibility information.
As a member of the Payments and Purchasing team, this role has shared accountability for ensuring strong effective relationships and providing leadership and support to ensure Te Whatu Ora localities deliver on and are accountable for their operational, capital, and financial performance. We also deliver major health infrastructure projects for the Crown; process payments and administer contracts for health care services.
