**OPERATIONAL FINANCE**
**SUPPLY CHAIN**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and practical person to join our team in the University’s Central Purchasing Hub. You will support Operational and Academic areas of the University with their purchasing needs including a focus on IT and Travel buying.
As an Officer Purchasing, you will be part of a team responsible for performing a wide range of purchasing activities including receiving and processing purchase requests, while collaborating with your peers to help develop a mutual respect between primary customers, suppliers, and other Shared Services staff.
Key tasks of this role include:
- Finalising purchase requisitions for standard purchases as well as identifying the best and most appropriate payment methods.
- Creating and maintaining purchase orders through to completion and making ready for payment.
- Adherence to strong policy, process, and guidelines.
- Tracking shipments and addressing any delays, ensuring stores and customers are kept up to date with expected delivery schedules as appropriate.
- Verifying all goods and services have been delivered to the expected levels.
- Preparing reports regarding purchasing activity including cost analyses.

- Exposure to working in a busy purchasing focused role.
- Strong Microsoft Office and PC skills.
- A positive, proactive approach to work.
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt on the fly to a diverse range of queries.
