This is a new opportunity to join our Project Delivery team as the **Commercial and Contracts Lead**. Supporting the commercial accountabilities of the National Manager Projects Delivery and the Programmes of work the team delivers, you will ensure a sound and proactive commercial approach is applied to all aspects and requirements using processes and skillsets relating to estimating, cost management, contract administration, commercial support for business cases, change management and reporting.

**What you’ll do**
- Accurate commercial controls and reporting
- Proactive change management and contingency control
- Support the business commercial requirements in accordance with KiwiRail procedures
- Actively assist the team to manage risk and opportunities
- Effective stakeholder management, internal and external
- Support commercial reporting at a project and programme level
- Adhere to KiwiRail’s health and safety requirements

**What you’ll need**
- Experience working in complex operating environment
- Strong internal and external relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Up to date knowledge of working with standards, procedures and contracts relating to Quantity Surveying services, contract administration and risk management (please refer the Job Description)
- Demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
- High degree of integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidence when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
