**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The purpose of the position of Contract Manager is to provide overall operational management for the centralised commercial contracts team within the commercial services department at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. Accountable for leading the delivery of a range of contracts to support positive patient outcomes by ensuring the patient journey is optimised through the delivery of consistently high-quality support services within the Commercial team.
Leading a team of two, the contract manager provides senior level operational management in a number of functional areas including Food, Linen & Uniform, Retail, Pest Control, Print, Watercoolers and Vending. They also lead the central contract management practice coordination to ensure consistent and good practice is achieved across the portfolio of contracts.
The role will support a team-based culture that fosters collaborative working relationships, innovation, continuous improvement and effective performance. It also leads and provide expertise and advice in relation to contracting processes and support for significant health service procurement projects - ensuring best value from our contracts through high quality, best in class contract management.

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- 10 years plus experience of managing a team
- Proven operations management experience
- Strong evidence of an ability to develop a culture of innovation, performance and transparency focussed on the customer
- Good understanding of the Health Sector
- Budget management experience
- Proven capacity/operational service delivery and planning experience
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
