Rau Paenga Limited, meaning many spaces of significance, is a Crown-owned company charged with leading and supporting Government infrastructure projects and programmes across Aotearoa.

Formerly Ōtākaro Limited, the Crown post-quake regeneration company in Christchurch, we have built a reputation as an innovative and achievement-orientated organisation having successfully delivered over $1b of Capital Expenditure against objectives and have made a real mark on the regeneration and betterment of Ōtautahi Christchurch.

The government has recently renamed and repurposed the company to be a NZ-wide infrastructure delivery agency. Rau Paenga now has offices in Auckland and Wellington, as well as Christchurch, and we are now providing delivery services to departments, agencies, and companies under the Crown, and to local government where relevant to support their one-off infrastructure project and programmes of work.

The Project Support Office (PSO) at Rau Paenga plays an essential role in project and programme delivery, and they are growing The PSO is looking for two talented Senior Project Finance Analysts to join their high-performing, highly collaborative team. You will play an essential role working across projects supporting the high-quality delivery of projects and programmes.

**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role**

Reporting to the Project Finance Manager and part of the wider PSO team, you will play a crucial role as a Senior Project Finance Analyst in Rau Paenga. Your responsibilities will involve onboarding and managing the financial aspects of the infrastructure projects Rau Paenga delivers and provides assurance on. You will be responsible for overseeing budget and cost management, as well as maintaining control over project baselines and change control processes at various levels, including individual projects, programmes, and portfolios.

Your expertise in construction financial management will be crucial for the successful management and execution of these projects. By closely tracking financial aspects and effectively communicating with stakeholders, you will contribute to informed decision-making and project success.

**Ko koe tēnei | About you**

Our ideal Senior Project Finance Analyst will bring expertise in budget and cost management. Your relevant tertiary qualification will come in handy in working with project finances and navigating contracts. Process and compliance driven you have a deep understanding in MS Excel and a financial tracking system like Proliance. You have a naturally analytical mind with the ability to make sound judgement calls. Being naturally risk adverse you will be able to proactively identify issues and raise these before they come to fruition.

Taking a people focussed approach you make connections naturally and understand the true value of relationships. You have the confidence and capability to work across teams at all levels of an organisation. In addition, you are able to convey all financial related matters in a way that is relevant and digestible.
