**About the Role**
This is an exciting role that offers a flexible and diverse work environment. You will be working predominantly on-site/in the field where you will have the opportunity to deal with various stakeholders such as Auckland Council, Ventia staff, and the general public.
You will be working closely with our Maintenance Delivery Teams, this role is critical in providing an eyes and ears overview of all our contractual requirements, and supporting the Service Delivery Teams, ensuring contractual requirements in our parks and open spaces are met. Your duties will include:

- Developing and maintaining relationships within Ventia and Auckland City Council
- Undertake regular meetings with the aim of keeping the client informed
- Identify and research potential issues and provide recommendations to minimise risk
- Manage and respond to inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Undertake proactive engagement activities with a range of stakeholders to develop and maintain a beneficial relationship
- Report on injuries or “near misses” encountered during the course of work

Ventia has been engaged by Auckland Council to provide Facilities Management services including planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, minor works, and cleaning services. The facilities include buildings, parks, beaches, public toilets, pathways, and forest tracks. This role covers the areas in the northern region the Hibiscus Coast, East Coast Bays, and Upper Harbour. Our client has high expectations in relation to process compliance, so you must build good habits and a strong culture of discipline to meet these expectations.

**About You**
This role will suit anyone who is interested in working outdoors, in the open air, and are passionate about wanting to provide good, quality public services. Experience in a similar auditing or inspecting role is an advantage but not essential. We will provide you with the relevant training required. As you will be preparing reports and relating data via an in-house system, a good level of computer literacy will be essential. Your strong self-motivation and excellent communication skills are key to your success in this role along with the following:

- Physically fit as this job involves walking long distances
- Minimum full class 1 Driver’s license
- Greenspace or Ecology Background is beneficial
- Proven GIS exposure is a plus
