**Job Description**:
- Provide Forestry FSC Chain of Custody (COC) auditing services as required to SGS Forestry, Timber and Paper industry sector Clients throughout NZ
- Provide support to SGS Forestry Programme Manager and undertake reporting and administration as required
- Provide technical support and assistance with internal audits
- Develop knowledge and expertise to be able to complete Logo approval for FSC
- Develop experience and undertake the necessary training to meet requirements to become a Forestry Management Auditor
- Complete necessary documentation required by the FSC and SGS policies and procedures to ensure it is robust and meets KPI’s set by Affiliate SA
- Upload necessary audit documentation onto the appropriate data base(s)
- Coordinate with and assist other Audit Team members, including Consultants, with undertaking audit and verification activities
- Receive and respond to client enquiries and support the Programme Manager with business development
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualification essential (eg. Degree or Diploma) ideally in Forestry or Forest Engineering
- Background and knowledge of the New Zealand Forestry/Timber industry
- Exposure to forestry auditing eg, Chain of Custody or Product Certification
- Existing forestry auditor qualifications would be advantageous, but are not essential as training and support to obtain auditor certifications can be provided
- Training and/or experience in other management systems auditing would also be useful eg. ISO 14001, ISO 19001, ISO 45001, with Lead Auditor certification highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- A professional approach with a focus on customer service
- Proven communication and negotiation skills
- NZ residency status or a valid and current visa to work in NZ
- Current and full drivers license
