**Te wero - The Challenge**
**_ This is a 6-month, fixed term position covering leave starting early December._**
You will provide multi-skilled support to the Communications and Engagement Team across a range of functions including copywriting, newsletter production, website and social media content management, news media liaison, video production, photography, graphic design, community engagement and event management.
**I ā koe - About You**
- At least two years’ experience of working in a communications or content production role
- A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or marketing
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- with a willingness to gain further understanding of Te Ao
- The ability to write concise and accurate stories and copy for diverse channels and audiences
- The ability to produce visually interesting newsletters and other information products.

**Tā mātou āroha - What we Offer**
The salary for this position is **Grade 15** within the council's salary structure** ($75,115 - $88,371) **dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver. The fixed-term salary will be paid pro-rata of the annual salary.
