Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
The Senior Programme Coordinator - HDS role is to provide project and programme management support to the MBU team as well as assisting the Workstream Lead.
A key component of this role is to successfully support the management of operations, and facilitate change within large and complex projects and or programmes of work. This includes identifying and leading resolution on opportunities for optimising performance, managing and escalating risks, and forecasting deliverables.
The Senior Programme Coordinator - HDS provides support and guidance on coordination and operational processes to the MBU colleagues. The Senior Programme Coordinator - HDS will assist with mentoring project coordinators. The Senior Programme Coordinator - HDS will also provide support to the Workstream Lead with day to day team functions and leadership as requested.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in management or equivalent working experience
- Subject matter expertise in managing complex projects and high volume work programmes
- Relevant experience in programme/project coordination - managing, coordinating, and delivering high volume work programmes
- Ability to influence a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve organisational goals
- Strong ability to deal with large volumes of complex data
- Excellent problem solving skills to navigate interdependent information and competing priorities
- A comprehensive understanding of the interdependencies of projects and work streams
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster good relationships through collaboration, consultation and partnership
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language
- Strong prioritisation, attention-management and organisational skills
- Able to utilise constructive feedback to assist in continuous improvement
- Works with initiative, is able to make decisions, and requires little guidance
- Leadership attributes and an interest to refine and develop own leadership and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of working in government institutions and similar would be advantageous
- Experience working in property or construction would be advantageous
