**The Role**

This is a wonderful opportunity, based in Auckland or Waikato, to consolidate all your packaging experience and knowledge in one role as a Senior Packaging Technologistwith Synlait.

Reporting to the Packaging Lead, the main responsibilities in this role include
- Hands on support and direction for 3 manufacturing lines at 2 Synlait sites
- Customer engagement and satisfaction for all new packaging projects
- Provision of specialised expert technical packaging knowledge across the business
- Leadership of new SKU roll out and development
- Proactive promotion of recyclability of materials and material recovery facilities.

Key to your success will be your proactive response to aiding others in their learning and your ability to build strong and supportive relationships with internal and external teams.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this role will require
- Experience of a large multi-national packaging environment
- Proven capability of continuous improvement statistical development projects
- Strong computer skills, particularly pallet/container optimisation software and SAP
- Knowledge of legislative requirements including APCO / ANZPAC
- Pride in your work and the accomplishments you achieve

A tertiary education in Dairy/Food Science or Technology is highly regarded in this role as is previous experience in canning, flexible packaging and/or automation/robotics.
