The Pae Ora legislation gives us the mandate and opportunity to create a system of commissioning that has the needs of whānau and communities at its heart. We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

As the Senior Contract Manager, you will contribute to the end-to-end coordination of high-quality contractual arrangements either within your region or within the national commissioning team.

**This role manages Te Waipounamu Region made up of Nelson Marlborough, Canterbury, South Canterbury, West Coast and Southern. Ideally, you will be based in one of these locations, but this can be discussed at interview stage.**

- Needs to draw on relevant senior technical experience specific to contract development requirements - between 5-10 years in a similar role.
- Previous experience working in an administrative environment where legislative considerations determine processes.
- Understanding and experience working with databases/registers.
- Experience of health sector contracts and service requirements.
- Understands and has experience participating in current key transformation programmes (e.g., ALMS).
- Demonstrates a proven commitment to, and ability of, working in self-directed teams, and as part of a wider Team of Teams to achieve group/team objectives and outcomes.
