**About the Role**:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity in Christchurch. If you have strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, encompassing hardware, software, networking, and security concepts, and a desire to excel in a dynamic work environment, we want to hear from you.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work with Cloud Computing platforms, including Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and provide technical and advisory support for successful outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to ensure proactive monitoring and system performance.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and drive improvements to systems and practices.
- Deliver accurate, informative, and timely reports to management.
- Evaluate commercially available and emerging industry technologies to support our mission.
- Manage relationships with third-party partners, including service level agreements.
- Work closely with third-party partners to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
- Contribute to IT strategic planning and effectively communicate with key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of IT systems, aligning with the organization's strategic plan.
- Identify practical opportunities and proactively suggest quality improvements to systems and practices.

**Skills and Experience We Are Looking For**:

- Experience with IT systems that interface with infrastructure.
- Be familiar with AWS and the deployment of Infrastructure using code
- A minimum of six years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, VMWare HyperV, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of LANS, WANS, networks, and switches.
