**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Academic Services team as a **Programme Adviser.**

The Programme Adviser position is a pivotal role within the faculty. You will work with the team of Programme Advisers to enhance the student academic experience.

You will monitor course and programme data and use knowledge of academic programme requirements to ensure clear and consistent advice is available for current and future students, through faculty channels, the Student Hub, Student Experience Centre, online or other channels. The Programme Adviser will make decisions on non-standard complex student requests within their delegated authority.

You will also interpret needs for programme cohorts and provide advice, individualised assistance, and where appropriate referrals to other service providers to support the student’s academic journey. The Programme Adviser will also look for ways to continuously improve the services that are provided to students via faculties web, Student Experience Centre and Student Hubs.

This is a **fulltime** (**37.5 hours per week**), **fixed term** (up to 12 months).

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working within a faculty, in a tertiary environment working in partnership with academic staff and an understanding of academic drivers.
- Experience working in a high demand and highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated skills at influencing at a senior level.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in continuous improvement and facilitating innovation.
- Demonstrated skills in analysing data from various sources and creating cohesive reporting to support decision making at a senior faculty level.
- Kia Whakamana i te Tangata: Acknowledging, maintaining, and restoring the mana and tapu of individuals, whānau and communities.
