An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior or lead small animal veterinarian to join our wonderful team at the Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic.

  • Ideal opportunity for an experienced veterinarian with surgical bias – enjoy a minimum of 2 out of 4 days in surgery – and the opportunity to take on the more complex surgical cases. Scope to include orthopaedics for an experienced surgeon.

About us:

For over 20 years Orewa Beach Veterinary Clinic has been serving the local community by providing quality care and has developed a loyal and dedicated client base.

We are a team of 3 veterinarians who are supported by a team of skilled veterinary nurses and a practice manager. We value a friendly, supportive, caring work environment and always ensure we have a few laughs along the way. The clinic caseload is varied with a mix of routine and weird and wonderful cases

The veterinarians have clinical freedom to work up their own cases but always collaborate and support each other with more difficult cases. Areas of special interest are welcomed and supported. We strive to maintain and provide a gold standard service to our clients and patients and are always looking to learn and improve where we can.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, friendly, and dedicated team player who enjoys mentoring, prides themselves on integrity, compassion, and communication.

  • At least 5 years' small animal experience, confident in all routine GP consults, procedures, and more complex surgeries.
  • Option for lead or senior veterinarian - with leadership development opportunity available.
  • BVSc (or equivalent) and be registered, or eligible to register to practice in New Zealand.
