As a Tax Administrator, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional client services, supporting our accounting team. We are seeking a well-rounded finance professional with ideally some knowledge of tax. If you have excellent time management and organizational skills, we want to hear from you. This role offers in-depth training and support, making it suitable for applicants at any level. However, we are ideally looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a drive to help people, and a willingness to learn about the accounting world.
You will be based in the heart of Auckland, working alongside some of the most experienced Accountants in the field. This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the day-to-day needs of the Directors, accounting team, and clients
- Manage phone calls, directing them to the appropriate team member
- Manage the advance payment system
- Assist with IRD number registrations, linking/delinking clients, and manage IRD master login and related queries
- Liaise with clients and the IRD
- Assist with filing returns and engagement letters
**About You**:
- Some accounting experience with knowledge of tax preferred
- Driven, dedicated, and enjoys variation within the role
- Excellent attention to detail, capable of managing large workloads and prioritizing tasks independently
- Supportive of the wider team, able to identify where help is needed
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficient with computer systems, quick to learn new systems
