Child Care Centre Manager

This reputable Early Learning Child Care centre has 5 current locations around New Zealand, and one in Wellington CBD. The centre's pride themselves in providing high quality care and education in purpose built child-friendly environments across the country. The centre had children right from birth up until the age of 6 and have founded programmes using guided principles of Te Whaariki the early childhood curriculum from the Ministry of Education. The early learning centres act as a community hub and believe in empowering their children with the joy of learning. They support each individual child to find a sense of courage, to nurture the love of play and creativity, and to find their voice but to hear and understand others too

**Your new role**

As Centre Manager you will use management systems to support and enhance ākonga learning and kaiako teaching. You will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the Service. You will work collaboratively and provide continuous support and nurture to your team of 18-20 staff. As the face of the Wellington Centre, your role is key to delivery on the vision and philosophy of the early learning hub and promote quality learning and teaching of the early learning curriculum Te Whariki. As a leader, your role is to demonstrate good educational leadership that is student-centred, whilst focusing on making a difference to the learning and well-being of akonga.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive experience in leadership and management (but also having an extreme passion in this area is just as important)
- Knowledge in the curriculum and health and safety
- Passion in growing team culture and mindset
- Strong administrative skills
- Microsoft Suite competent and good technical skills
- Being a registered/qualified teacher is a bonus but not essential
