We are a close-knit and supportive team, dedicated to providing top-quality healthcare to our diverse older population. We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join us at Dunedin Hospital. In this role, you will work within a small multi-disciplinary team, taking a leading role in maintaining and enhancing our Mental Health service.

Your responsibilities will include psychiatric assessments and care of patients, collaboration with the primary health sector, and contributing to service improvement and workforce innovation. You will also participate in an on-call roster.

To be successful in this role, you must have Fellowship with the RANZCP or the equivalent, and preferably a current registration with the NZ Medical Council. Your commitment to high standards of practice, teamwork, and clinical leadership is essential. Additionally, a focus on recovery, biculturalism, and ongoing professional development is important.

The salary for this role is based on the ASMS Collective Agreement, ranging from NZD 170,369 to NZD 250,560 per year pro rata.
