National Key Account Manager

**The role**
As part of our consumer growth strategy, we are seeking a highly motivated leader and results-driven National Key Account Manager to join our team. At Douglas, we aim to solidify ourselves as the pharmacy distributors of choice for our agency business, build a track record of scaling successful nutraceutical brands, and explore opportunities to expand into new channels within the New Zealand market.
You will play a pivotal role in effectively managing key account relationships, recognizing their strategic importance to our overall success. You will oversee a dedicated Key Account team, ensuring consistent and personalized support for our important clients. Your primary goal will be to maximize sales and revenue by identifying growth opportunities within key accounts and developing tailored strategies to capitalize on them.
Our Key Accounts include Green Cross, Chemist Warehouse, Bargain Chemist, Costco, Grocery, Wholesalers, Health Banners and online retailers.
You will lead, coach and mentor a small team of passionate and driven Channel Account Managers. You will provide clarity, celebrate, support and guide the team to be their best.
This is a newly created role where there is so much opportunity and potential. We would be excited to hear from you on how you can help us drive the success of our Key Account Management team.
**You will be**
- A strong **LEADER** - you have experience leading a team. You have led, supported and guided teams in the past and are motivated by the team doing well.
- A **KEY ACCOUNT** professional - you have 10 + years of proven key account success across a variety of companies but preferable within healthcare.
- Excellent knowledge of the **CONSUMER MARKET** - New Zealand market knowledge is essential, ideally within healthcare, grocery or FMCG.
- An **OPPORTUNITY SPOTTER** - business development is in your DNA. You are driven to find new opportunities.
- A **RELATIONSHIP BUILDER** - you will be awesomely expert at building relationships and getting people on side, working with people and valuing their expertise.
You will be degree qualified, driven by results and be a strong negotiator. You will have an analytical mindset, be a strategic thinker and be a great human.
