We work with and manage over 174,000 small and medium sized business customers. Our customers are organisations with 6 to 49 employees, or a GST turnover of $1 million or more but less than $30 million. We work closely with the Micro Business segment as our customers are similar.

Salary range $111,538 - $122,921
This is a team leadership role with compelling purpose. Lead and support your team to improve customer experience and champion IR's customer-centric and intelligence culture within a professional compliance environment.
**In this varied role you will**:

- actively coach and lead your people and empower them to provide end-to-end customer service, enabling our 'right from the start' approach

Mōu - About you
To be successful in this position you will possess some of the following attributes:
- An understanding of IR's customer base, Customer Segment Strategies and Customer Segment Plans and how they align with the overall strategic direction of CCS and IR
- An ability to explain the 'why' behind our direction and decisions, so your people feel connected and know how their everyday work contributes to IR's goals and outcomes
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and empower people through coaching
- A strong desire to learn and grow as a people leader
- The ability to effectively design, plan, manage and integrate change
- The ability to make effective decisions that consider the impacts and interdependencies
- Preferably a relevant tertiary qualification and or role experience that evidences credibility

Customer and Compliance Services (CCS) is made up of two groups: Individuals and Business. Together we are a team of approximately 3,200 people, in sites across the country.
We are the first point of contact for IR's customers, from individuals through to families and local and international businesses. We provide tax technical and legal support for IR, and we're connected to other agencies.
Hours of work
You will work 75 hour 50 minutes per fortnight to be worked across Monday to Friday.
- Your recent experience in motivating and empowering people in a compliance or regulatory role through coaching
- Your recent experience in the design, planning, management or integration of change
- Your recent experience in making effective decisions with consideration for impacts and interdependencies
