**About the Role**:

- Reporting into the Sales Director and with 2 direct reports, the key purpose of the role is to lead and manage the sales, service, marketing, and promotion activities of Landis+Gyr’s products and services for New Zealand, mainly in the utilities sector.
- Therefore, this role needs to ensure high-quality relationships across a portfolio of key utility (and related industries) customers and leveraging those relationships to maximise sales revenue and profitability.
- This is a hunter, leadership role, developing the sales & marketing strategies/plans to target strategic customers with products, solutions, and services, including both direct selling and via resellers/partners and liaising with key industry bodies. This role leads the major strategic sales opportunities, so we are looking for true hunter here to drive revenue opportunities, including managing the tenders and bids processes.
- This role is directly accountable for sales growth with current and new partners, maximising market opportunities through target-driven comprehensive business plans. This includes strategic annual sales planning and working with the marketing team.
- As you’d expect this role also requires a part of ensuring current account needs are being met with strong account management skills, looking for opportunities to cross/upsell solutions.

- Developing and managing relationships is critical for this role both internally and externally. - This role requires travel, including sales calls in and around the Auckland/Hamilton region, as well as visiting regions such as Wellington, New Plymouth, Christchurch, Whangārei & Nelson. These costs will be covered by Landis+Gyr.

**About You**:

- We are looking for a commercial Sales Manager with a unique blend of corporate best practice customer management experience but also an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and high-growth mindset.
- Ideally you will have experience in the utilities space, even better if with metering. You could be from telco or have experience in technology with an interest in the Internet of Things.
- You will be a proven senior salesperson, a passionate hunter, and happy to knock on doors.
- Leadership experience is also important, knowing how to motivate and coach/mentor a team with a positive can-do attitude.
- As this role involves relationship building with a diverse range of clients, partners, and other stakeholders, you will have excellent experience building relationships with a variety of contacts throughout an organisation, opening doors with the ability to influence and drive sales and solutions.
- You will have a proven track record of sales growth, consistently achieving and exceeding set sales targets.
