The CDO team is responsible for ensuring that the services we provide to our clients and internal teams, protect them from cyber threats and do not expose them to any unnecessary risks. Our CDO Analysts take on a position where they action events and requests that require attention to detail and are entrusted with a duty of care.

The purpose of these positions is to work as part of the team that is responsible for resolving security incidents, security change requests, being key contributors to security projects, as well as assisting other members of the wider security team to consistently deliver industry leading security outcomes.

**The primary responsibilities for the role will be**:

- Incident analysis Incident analysis
- Real-time monitoring and event triaging
- Incident identification and first-level response
- Daily, weekly, monthly security checks
- Threat monitoring, Security Advisories, and notifications
- Stay current on IT security trends and news.
- Incident analysis
- Incident coordination and response
- Remote incident response
- Monthly reporting and security insights
- Security awareness training
- Threat hunting
- Cyber Defence Operations toolset management and maintenance
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Test and evaluate security products
- Provide recommendations for improvements to incident playbooks, procedures, and monitoring
- Work with Security Architect and other security partners developing and refining correlation rules
- Required to be available as part of the teams' after-hours On-Call roster.

**What skills and experience are we looking for?**
- A functional understanding of cyber security including:

- Cyber security concepts and fundamentals.
- Risk.
- Security awareness.
- Ability and interest in technical excellence.
- Positive professional attitude and work ethic.
- Working knowledge of networking (routing, switching, etc.)
- A working understanding of:

- Active Directory / Azure Active directory.
- Networking
- Endpoint Security.
- Experience in any of the following considered highly beneficial:

- CrowdStrike
- KnowBe4
- Mimecast
- QRadar or other SEIM's.
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Password State.
- An understanding of cyber security incident response and network security monitoring.
- Knowledge of intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDPS and security incident event management (SIEM) technologies.
- Two years' experience working in a security delivery or engineering focused role.

This role will work closely with the rest of Cyber Defence Operations, Information Security Management and Operations teams.
