- Join a team that is inspired by challenging, diverse and meaningful work

The Parliamentary Counsel Office (PCO) plays a critical role in developing and publishing New Zealand's legislation. Our vision of ‘Great Law for New Zealand' underpins everything we do. We work across government agencies to deliver legislation that is fit for purpose, constitutionally sound, and accessible.
The work we do is challenging, diverse, and integral to the lives of New Zealanders. There's no other place like it.
What we are looking for
The PCO has, over the last two years, completed an end-to-end technology refresh. This included replacing our Corporate IS environment to an evergreen M365 and Intune based environment, as well as implementing current technology: HP G10 laptops, Teams Meeting Rooms, OneDrive and SharePoint for document management and collaboration, and iPhones for our staff. The last step in this journey as we transfer from programme to BAU is our new operating model.
That's where you come in We're looking for a new Technical Service Delivery Managerfor our Technology Operations Team. In this role you'll be responsible for managing all internal and outsourced IT operations and security related services for our corporate IT environment, and importantly, you will also lead the PCO's Technology Operations Team, which is comprised of 3 direct reports and a number of vendor partners. While this is a senior role it requires someone who will work in a technical hands-on manner.
- at least 7 years of experience, including hands-on experience with MS Azure, Windows, Office 365, Entra ID, Intune, and networking.
- proven experience as a technical people leader who empowers and grows their team to make an optimal contribution.
- demonstrated experience developing and sustaining cloud platform management practices, prioritizing optimisation for cost, security, performance, and availability.
- ability to develop, implement and maintain well documented and efficient ITIL service management policies, procedures and processes and ensure they are followed.
- confidence in actively managing external vendor contractual relationships to ensure that contracts are actively managed, Service Levels are regularly monitored, and that finances are actively controlled.
- a strong understanding and awareness of IT security and assurance, and government standards including NZ Information Security manual and Protective Security Requirements. Including, expertise in managing cloud risks with efficiency to effectively safeguard operations.

If your strong technical, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills are matched by your ability to communicate, your passion for continuous improvement, structured technical processes, and customer service then we'd like to hear from you

**Qualifications**:

- Vendor certifications related to Microsoft cloud platforms.
- ITIL 4 Managing Professional or comparable
- AZ-900 (azure cloud certification)

What we offer you
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and highly respected organisation. PCO is a small and friendly office of around 150 people with a passion for producing great legislation.
We value our people and provide a flexible and supportive environment where each individual can thrive and be who they are. We embrace diversity, and our small size allows you to be exposed to broad opportunities and grow your skills along the way.

**In addition, PCO offers**:

- flexible working arrangements
- te reo classes
- free exercise classes and netball
- access to services within the parliamentary complex including the gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and restaurants.
