**The Opportunity - Senior H&S Advisor - Northern Region (Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Cover)**

**We have rare opportunity for a passionate Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our dedicated team on a Fixed-Term Maternity Cover contract starting late July, through to August 2024**.**

This is an operational Health and Safety role supporting a variety of trades across a business that supports customers to maintain, build, and renew their social infrastructure assets. The primary focus of this role is to coach, motivate, advise, and educate staff, drive improvements in our safety systems, and undertake some assurance activities. This is an Auckland based role which supports our operational teams within the North Island depots.

The role is supported by a passionate and inclusive Health and Safety team and reports into the National Safety and Wellness Manager.

Proactively promoting excellence in health and safety through engagement, communication and improvement is a key success factor for the role. This role will require travel to sites on a regular basis to support operations and some travel out of Auckland.

**About you**

You will be an engaging safety coach, and have a strong technical safety knowledgebase, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have proven experience in driving a behavioural based safety culture. You will hold a relevant health and safety qualification and have a clean full class 1 driver's license.

You will bring a structured and risk-based approach to Health and Safety. You will have proven experience in undertaking health and safety related training, combined with the ability to influence others and build strong, enduring relationships with colleagues at all levels in the organisation.

This role can be suited to an intermediate level advisor looking for the next step up or a senior advisor looking to diversify their skills.
