Service Lead Autism

**About the role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated driven individual to lead our Autism team across multiple locations. Reporting to the Operations Manager Specialist Services, the Service Lead will be passionate about making a difference, excited to work collaboratively and is a leader among your peers to make things happen. There is the ability to develop this service and put your creative mind into new ideas.
This role will provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Autism team, co-ordinating the daily operations and service delivery of the groups (children, teens and adults with autism and neurodiversities); developing and maintaining community educational programmes that includes but may not be limited to communication skills, emotional regulation skills, life skills, activities of daily living skills, pre-employment skills, social skills and relationship skills. With support from the Operations Manager, you will build and maintain relationships within the community; market Autism services within the community, and continually review the Autism processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday school terms only. Our autism groups run in Hamilton on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. It is expected that you will be available to attend these groups therefore your hours of work will be flexible to accommodate working outside normal business hours by working split shifts or glide time on the days groups are held.
**Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience with people management, able to coach, mentor and provide feedback;
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills;
- Ability to foster and develop relationships;
- Problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the square;
- Experience with managing behaviours;
- A current full driver licence;
- An understanding of the disability sector would be an advantage;
- A tertiary qualification or experience in a relevant field is preferred.
