Chim Thai is a highly rated, successful modern Thai Restaurant in Rototuna, Hamilton. We are seeking a full-time restaurant Manager; you will be responsible for:

- Coordinating daily restaurant management operations, FOH rosters and ordering from suppliers;
- Supervising FOH cleaning and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained;
- Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction;
- waiting on tables, transmitting orders to the kitchen and bar via menu mate POS system, making beverages including coffee and delivering food and beverages to tables.
- Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints;
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintain the food safety control plan and cover annual food safety inspections;
- Ensure all maintenance problems are dealt with promptly, liaising with appropriate service providers and tradesmen as required.
- Overall responsibility for staff training.
- Ensuring the weekly bar stock take is investigated and accurate.
- Ensuring wage costs come in at or below agreed levels;
- planning and organising special functions
- Must be available to work weekends (this is hospo after all)
- Knowledge to adhere to liquor licensing requirements.You must have a minimum of two years restaurant experience, hold a manager’s license under the Sale of Liquor Act, be entitled to work in New Zealand and barista competent. This will be a full-time salaried position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Remuneration will depend on experience but will up to $35 per hour. Hours will be within these parameters Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 3 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm.

Our current manager, who is wishing to move on to a new chapter in her career will be retained in consultancy capacity for 6 months will be available for advice and support to facilitate a smooth transition for the new manager.
