**Salary**: $71,196 - $81,600

**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We are seeking a Team Coordinator to join our Patient Administration Service which supports a patient - s journey from referral, to a Capital Coast and Hutt Valley (CCHV) district treatment provider, right through to discharge. This role is based in the Wellington Hospital, but supports all three sites in the CCHV District, on a roster Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

You will be responsible for ensuring quality, customer focused reception services are provided to our patients attending clinics or making phone enquiries. You will train and lead staff who schedule patient interactions and bookings, liaise with our clinical teams and strengthen clinical and non-clinical relationships to provide the very best patient journey.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth running of our services, ensuring that booking protocols are followed and adhered to in order to keep waiting times to a minimum, reviewing the patient information recorded in our Patient Management System and following up with services for their patients who have missed appointments.

The Outpatient Reception and Community teams provide high quality, efficient and effective administration support to our clinical teams within CCHVwhich enables them to focus on patient care.

- Ability to deal with ambiguity - is able to work in an environment of uncertainty; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
- Ability to build strong professional relationships focused on solving problems together
- Great Microsoft Office Suite computer skills, particularly excel
- Self-motivated and self-aware
- Exposure in working with cultures other than their own
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate with members of the team or the public including those who are distressed or angry.
- Knowledge of the Privacy Act and other legislation protecting confidentiality
