**About the Role**

The Intelligence directorate is a new structure, a central population and public health operational Intelligence team that is regionally networked and collaborative across organisations and agencies. The establishment of the Intelligence directorate in NPHS gives us the opportunity to review our products and processes and ensure we are honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi. In our work, we provide advice and deliver products that are used to inform evidence-based decision-making across the NPHS. Our data and products need to be informative and interpretable; they also need to reflect the voices and stories of our communities.

We have an opportunity available to join our directorate as a **Coordinator** supporting our Intelligence teams. This permanent, full-time role will see you provide a range of day-to-day administrative and coordination functions, including project coordination and product delivery, to enable the Intelligence directorate to deliver on a high quality work programme. You will gain insights into the workings of a public health intelligence team and access opportunities to build skills and experience that will support you to forge a future career as an Intelligence Analyst or Advisor.

**About the Team**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health NZ, works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on wellbeing, health promotion, protection, prevention, and population-level interventions. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

**About you**

You have an interest in building your skills in, and knowledge of, public health intelligence. You are an experienced administrator or coordinator able to plan, prioritise, and deliver work on time to an excellent standard. You're well organised, and have a good eye for detail. You're able to work collaboratively with other business units and across sectors, to collectively contribute to the strategic health outcomes outlined in the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act, and Te Pae Tata, the NZ Health Plan.
- A relevant graduate qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 year in coordination and administration roles, for example including working on projects or in change management.
- Previous experience in the health sector is beneficial
- Proven ability to provide strong administrative support across programmes of work
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
