**Job Description**:
**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role**

As a Delivery Lead for Geothermal you’ll provide oversight of projects within our geothermal operations. This role is all about corralling the troops It will be up to you to coordinate a whole bunch of different work streams and ensure we stay on schedule, prioritise our activities and achieve our objectives to deliver against our operational excellence initiatives.

You will be the go-to person for the planning and execution of our major geothermal portfolio of projects for Poihipi and Te Mihi Stations and associated steamfields. - all Taupo based. Tasks will include project planning, scheduling, prioritising critical paths, identifying key interdependencies, progress check-ins, estimating and monitoring project costs, reviewing spend against budgets, and reviewing project quality compared to the desired objective.

Some of the projects you’ll be coordinating are major maintenance outages, electrical protection upgrades, new turbine steam path, process safety upgrades, commissioning and Te Mihi 3 enabling works.

This position reports into our Wairakei Group Business Lead. It is a 2-year fixed term opportunity and sits within our Geothermal Generation team which is part of our Generation & Trading business unit.

Location wise, we really need someone on the ground so Taupo is the ideal base.

**Qualifications**:
**Ko wai koe | About you**

Ideally, you’ll have a degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications. Experience within the power generation sector will be nice to see but not a must have.

Detail-orientated and process-driven, you’ll have large scale, extensive and multi-disciplined project controls experience. Plus, you’ll be familiar working in an agile environment and comfortable working ‘in the grey’. Overall, your experience will be broad and you’ll be well known for leading teams to success.

This role requires coordination across multi-functional teams within complex project environments. You’ll need to be able to collaborate with people at all levels right across the business, whether it’s the Outage team, Project Delivery, Steam field or engineers. You’ll also engage with contractors and consultants outside of Contact.

Strong communication skills are everything. You’ll be calm, concise, connect the dots and provide context always. You understand the importance of documentation management and reporting, and are comfortable preparing business cases.

To you, projects are more than just an individual, they require a village of committed and skilled people. You’ve got many tricks up your sleeve when it comes to developing, implementing and maintaining systems and processes to ensure projects stay on track and are delivered successfully. You really bring people on the journey. Your high energy keeps people engaged and motivated and your ability to influence and inspire others is clearly felt.
