**Job Description**:
**What you’ll do**
- Lead, direct and motivate the team, including managing resources, as well as planning for future succession needs.
- Lead transformation throughout the team, acting as a clear mentor, leading by example, and encouraging behaviours essential to the delivery of the business outcomes.
- Lead and manage various projects required to maintain our licence to operate and/or achieve Contact’s decarbonisation aspirations.
- Coordinate and supervise workflow and work teams ensuring that work is done to a high standard and data is provided in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders.
- Lead enhancement in efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Lead, train, influence and provide direction to motivate direct reports.
- Lead the development and management of a competency framework to ensure work is carried out by suitably trained personnel.
- Lead or assist in development of all procedures or safe work method statements, ensuring they are current and reflect industry best practice.
- Budget management and control and identifying efficiencies in maintenance spend.
- Maintaining the measurements workshop including all associated equipment.
- Lead the delivery of high, consistent level of customer service when assisting with managing key stakeholder relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all industry safety rules, codes of practice and regulations.
- Ensure that all activities and tasks are conducted in compliance with environmental consents and within station and company environmental guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure that safe working and occupational health principles and practices are known and observed, and that all safety rules and procedures are complied with by Contact and other personnel working on site.
- Other duties as required and agreed upon.
**Qualifications**:
**The type of experience you’ll bring to the role**
- Relevant tertiary/professional qualification
- At least 5 years working experience in a geothermal, environmental or related industry.
- Prior roles in a supervisory, management or project management would be advantageous.
- Skilled in the effective resolution of complex issues and problems
- Integrity and high personal and professional standards
- Able to develop tools that allow problems to be solved on an ongoing and long term basis
- Able to make effective business decisions without significant oversight or guidance
- Demonstrated ability and interest for staff members’ development
- Ability to clearly convey information to colleagues and other business units and communicate complex ideas to suit different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation
