The Compliance Coordinator ensures that our Wellington Branch operations are in compliance with the highest standards. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving our compliance processes, while also assisting with documentation and reporting.
**The role**:
- Full-time permanent role.
- 5 days per week
- Location: Thomas Neal Crescent, Trentham, Upper Hutt

**The job**:
You will be implementing Food Safety compliance policies and procedures, conducting internal audits and training staff on food safety and quality best practices. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and integrity of our products. The main responsibilities include:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant local, national and international regulations and standards.
- FIFO (First In First Out) checks of product within the main chiller to ensure compliance
- Adherence to the Fresh/Frozen/Butchery procedures and ensure that products has relevant labelling information
- Reality Check of Internal Building and Surroundings to ensure that building is compliant
- Ensuring that all NC’s and CARS are closed out in a timely manner and are recorded on the relevant documentation
- Checking of Pest stations and ensuring with Rentokil that chemicals are being rotated
- Ensure that environmental swabbing is done quarterly and recorded correctly as per FCP
- Conduct regular check of Scales, thermometers, water and product testing and maintain records
- Daily reviewing of paperwork for tasks being completed correctly in a timely manner
- Assist with the conducting of audits and inspections where needed
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and rectify any compliance issues.
- Provide compliance training and support to employees, promoting a culture of responsibility.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and changes, making recommendations for compliance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline compliance processes.
**The person**:
You will be qualified in Food safety or in a related field. You would also have relevant experience in a similar role, especially within the food industry, or a warehousing environment.
The key attributes and skills we are seeking:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
- Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Proven knowledge of food safety and HACCP systems
- Focussed and result oriented
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word
- Prior NZ experience in food service processes and knowledge of basic food ingredients
- Honesty, integrity and reliability are essential.
- Attention to detail and time management skills
