**About the role**

The Māori and Community Prevention Partnerships team within Iwi and Communities is in part responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing national harm reduction and prevention strategies.

The Manager Family Harm Partnerships is responsible for fostering and enabling strong Māori, Pacific, ethnic and community partnerships and prevention outcomes. This is achieved through leading the development of strategies and initiatives to reduce crime and harm, including those that are codesigned with communities to deliver positive outcomes. Iwi & Community provides cultural and prevention-focused leadership and advice to better enable Police to work with a broad range of communities to deliver shared outcomes.

This position is also a key member of the Māori & Community Prevention Partnerships team, which is responsible for supporting Districts to strengthen partnerships that develop and deliver prevention, enabled through National partnerships both internal and external to Police.

You will be responsible for:

- Senior Sergeant, National Coordinator Whāngaia Ngā Pā Harakeke
- Family Safety System National Team including;
- National Practice and Case Management Lead - Family Safety System
- National Administrator - Family Safety Team
- Supporting the strategic direction and promotion of prevention and partnership activity to improve outcomes to prevent and reduce family violence harm.
- Connect and partner with Te Puna Aonui, to support the priorities and needs of FH multi-agency partnerships.
- Lead, build, maintain, and influence relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be working with a high performing, innovative and committed team. The successful applicant will be instrumental in leading and embedding future change.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead, direct and manage a team to deliver on Our Business with a strong understanding and ability to led in respect of Te Huringa o te Tai
- Analyse and understand complex issues
- Work in a collective, collaborative way with partner agencies and across workgroups within Police.
- Be able to support police in partnering and understanding the dynamics of power, control, equity, diversity and inclusion

- An understanding/knowledge of Te Aorerekura - National Strategy for the Elimination of Sexual Violence and Family Violence
