The Ministry of Justice wants people to have better access to Justice Services and be able to deal with us easily and quickly. That means improving how we support the courts-the place where we have the most impact on people's lives and help keep our communities safe.
The DV Programmes Team is a unique, dynamic team that manages all non-violence and safety programme referrals from Courts across Aotearoa.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
- Based in Wellington
- Sound administration skills and not fazed by extensive computer-based work
- Comfortable working in an environment that does not have face-to-face contact with stakeholders/participants
- Sound decision making and confidence in investigating a wide rang of information to ensure the best possible outcome
- A knowledge of the Family Violence Act and/or an understanding of the dynamics of family Harm.
- Ability to navigate a variety of IT operating systems
- Ability to be agile and respond to process and legislative changes
- Experience in delivering tasks that may be time bound, not getting overwhelmed with at times a large volume of time sensitive tasks arriving at once.
- Ability to understand possible risk associated with Family Harm and how to action tasks to minimise potential risk
