About the Role
To continue the growth of the business in New Zealand, we have an exciting and rare opportunity to join the People team as a HR Business Partner - NZ.
As a HR Business Partner - NZ, you’ll strategically partner with the business to execute the People and wider Accent Group strategy by understanding and having a holistic of our people. The HR Business Partner - NZ would be based in the Auckland office however reporting into the Group Head of HR and Training who is based in Australia. This role will be responsible supporting our NZ Retail field and Support Office team with implementation of people, culture and wellbeing.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Partner with the broader People & HR team to execute the People strategy
- Provide a consultancy and advisory service to management on relevant HR matters including interpretation of relevant acts, legislation, policies and procedures.
- Providing and coach the Retail team to offer proactive, compliant, professional advice and practical experience on employee relations issues. This could include employment, performance management, absence, disciplinary, conduct investigations and grievance matters.
- Manage, monitor and create key people metrics and indicator to forecast any risks, identify trends and measure success to drive continuous improvement.
- Building and implementing policies, procedures and supporting documents to help refine and proactively upskill our team plus create consistent learning across all levels of the Retail business.
- Conduct monthly Workplace Health & Safety audits within Retail sites to ensure compliance
- Support with Recruitment tasks based in NZ such as end to end recruiting of Support Office roles, coordinating/conducting retail group interviews & implementing additional recruitment strategies as per direction of Group Recruitment Manager
- Sourcing relevant in country benefits to enhance our employee offering
- Supporting with any implantation of training and development initiatives
- Implementing and driving the Accent Charity Group on ground

**To be successful you will need to have the following skills**:

- 5+ years’ experience in HR and experience as in a People BP/Generalist position (ideally within the retail industry)
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and ability to advise on a broad range ER/IR issues -in depth knowledge of NZ legislation and relevant acts.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of key stake holders across all levels of the business
- Strong ability to multitasks and navigate conflicting priorities
- Ideally strong Microsoft program experience with excel, power point etc.
- A customer centric focus to deliver outstanding people experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to establish relationships at all levels and support multiple locations
- Consulting and collaborations skills - skilled at consulting with a wide variety of partner types and navigating new territory
