About the team
Organisational Planning, Performance and Governance (OPPG) provides important services to the Chief Executive and the Leadership Team to develop and strengthen its strategic planning, performance and reporting processes to ensure the Ministry meets the accountability requirements as well as Ministerial and Government expectations.
The Governance team manages the effective operation of the Ministry's governance system and provides strategic advice, technical support and thought leadership to the Leadership Team, the General Manager (GM) OPPG, and the wider organisation on governance related matters.

About the role
Reporting to the GM OPPG, the Manager Governance leads a team of experts and manages the delivery of work for the Governance team. The Manager Governance champions the Governance function, processes and best practice across the Ministry, and will support the team to be governance thought leaders.
You will establish strong relationships within the Ministry and with key external agencies, provide intellectual input and technical leadership for OPPG, and contribute as part of the team to the functioning of OPPG's wider Strategy and Insights group.

About you

**To be successful, you will have**:

- Proven management experience, ideally in the public sector environment
- Expertise in corporate governance, ideally in the public sector environment
- Strong experience in managing key relationships at a senior level both internally and externally, and be able to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Proven ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment, and ability to bring others on the journey

**Salary range**: $109,999.00 - $164,999.00
