About the Team

About the role

This position is located in Auckland.

The role will work closely with Head of Personal Insurance, New Zealand, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to help drive and implement strategic initiatives, which will assure the delivery of customer value and long-term profitable growth of the Travel Insurance portfolio. The person in this role is the key contact ensuring our Travel business delvers key commitments to customers and other internal and external stakeholder requirements

What you need to know:
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:

- Coordinate and conduct agreed partnership activities across the value chain, ensuring delivery in accordance with all commitments and Fair Conduct Programme requirements. This includes liaison with various functional stakeholders and operational teams (internal and external)
- Ensure partnership activities are consistent with contractual arrangements, coordinating review and amendment as required
- Coordinate collection and delivery of management information across entire value chain with agreed cadence and quality
- Analyse management information to generate actionable insights for the business. Recommend remedial improvements or business change where necessary to deliver agreed objectives, SLAs and overall strategic position
- Map and manage all key value chain processes, inclusive of 3rd party providers
- Identify potential vulnerabilities/ weaknesses or opportunities to strengthen process and performance across the value chain
- Work in partnership with Travel leaders to manage the overall prioritisation of projects/initiatives based on agreed partnership priorities; projects will range from new product launches, product maintenance, customer experience improvements, process improvements
- Maintain regulatory compliance obligations register and compliance programme for maintenance of Fair Conduct Programme (FCP) and Conduct of Financial Institutions (CoFI) and other consumer protection legislation identified [document and review controls with Compliance/Risk]
- Undertake agreed periodic product reviews with agreed stakeholders including affinity partners where required
- Manage any product or customer remediation required with Legal and maintain centralized remediation records and regulator communications [this could be Legal]
- Ensure Global/ Regional initiatives align with local market requirements, including product governance and conduct requirements

What we’re looking for:

- Tertiary Qualification with proven experience in the Insurance, Financial Services, or Travel Industry
- Demonstrated experience working in sales, business development, partnership management, or a role that has a significant partner-facing component
- Excellent networker with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- A proactive approach to developing new business partnerships
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - both written and oral
- Demonstrated knowledge of New Zealand’s insurance regulatory and compliance requirements
