**Our client**:
Our client is a proud NZ dealer for an industry-leading global manufacturer of construction, mining, port, and oil drilling machinery. They have recently expanded their business across New Zealand and into Australia and there is no sign of them slowing down anytime soon
We are looking for an experienced sales professional to take on the Auckland - Northland portfolio to continue to expand the brand within the region and support the existing client base.

**About the role**:
This is unique direct sales role where you will work proactively and be responsible for conducting market research, identifying, and pursuing new business opportunities, and building our clients brand within the Auckland and Northland regions. You will need to be someone who can work autonomously, has a passion for the industry, and is driven to achieve great results.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media (both existing networks and new)
- Set up meetings with potential clients, listening and responding to their requests and queries
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
- Proven sales experience working with a NZ Distributor of excavator / heavy machinery
- Sound knowledge of the NZ heavy machinery market, particularly excavators
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with people from all walks of life
- Confidence to build strong relationships with existing and new accounts
- Solid computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft products
