**About the opportunity**

Supporting the Head of Climate & Sustainability Reporting, a new 12-month contract/secondment opportunity has been created to support the delivery of the climate change implementation project and ensuring ongoing BAU reporting requirements are met within the desired timeframes to the required standards and coordination of the GHG emissions data collection process to drive the building and improving of data quality for climate reporting purposes.

The fundamental focus of this role is to facilitate the development of ASB's and ASB's funds climate reports, and metrics and targets development and reporting including operational emissions calculation for the bank.

This is a senior role requiring close proximity to the external assurance team and industry experts ensuring our climate change reporting is compliant and meets all key stakeholder requirements.

**About you**

This is an exciting role which would suit someone who is curious and has a mindset and passion to learn. Ideally a risk / compliance or funds/finance background that is comfortable navigating across divisions to achieve buy-in and deliver on outcomes. Ideally you will bring a combination of the following skills:

- Sound understanding of climate events and the impact it has on key accounting, regulatory and banking related financial standards and regulations.
- CA or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years prior experience in banking, insurance or other financial institutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Preferably funds reporting and/or climate reporting experience.
- Awareness of other banking related financial standards and regulations.
