**The business**

The transition to net-zero carbon emissions presents an enormous challenge for the property and infrastructure sector. As a sector leader this business is in a unique position to continually challenge their industry and clients, both private and public sector, to realise this. Working alongside and educating colleagues and clients, the Sustainability Lead, provides a platform to make an immense positive impact on the sector.

Bringing with you a strong technical knowledge base and globally recognised qualifications, you will confidently and knowledgeably provide advice and expertise to property and infrastructure clients.

With the presence to represent the business both externally (speaking with conviction at sustainability forums, on panels and publishing bold thought leadership pieces), and internally (advising and training staff on best practice), you will bridge knowledge gaps with authority and confidence.

There is an expectation for some regional travel to support local senior team members and maintain visibility with local market clients and stakeholders.

**Background and personal attributes**:

- A globally recognised Masters level qualification in sustainability leadership, e.g. Cambridge (CISL) or equivalent in environmental science, energy management, climate change or sustainability
- A thought leader with a broad understanding of all aspects of sustainability within the property and infrastructure sector, comfortable and confident to articulate your views both internally and in a public forum
- Proven experience designing, assessing, and delivering best practise sustainability initiatives
- Literate in core sustainability metrics, understanding measurement and reporting
- An authentic leader and mentor instilling high levels of trust and commitment in a team located throughout the country
- Strong external credibility with a network of local and global connections,
- Self-motivated, highly confident with high levels of energy and passion
- Able and willing to challenge others’ ideas in respectful and constructive manner to drive change.

A rewarding role where you can have genuine influence and impact on the future sustainability of New Zealand’s property and infrastructure. Success in the role will see you advance through the business at pace.

If you feel this is the role for you to add value and impact in an important part of the business, then we would love you to apply. Alternatively, for further information please contact Cohesion, Nicola Rawlence 021 621 712, or Rachel McNaughton 0277 333 819.
