Our climate change team are known for providing expert and tailored advice to a wide range of clients throughout NZ and the Pacific. We have a dedicated and growing group of professionals across the areas of climate change risk assessments, adaptation planning, climate mitigation/emissions reduction, climate-related financial disclosures (TCFD) and sustainability.

Examples of some of our recent work include our key role in NZ's first National Climate Change Risk Assessment, preparing Guidelines for Local Climate Risk Assessments, and we are working with a wide range of agencies and Councils to assess climate risk and commence adaptation planning. Also, we are increasingly working with organisations who want to undertake climate scenario planning exercises to help inform their broader strategies for transitioning to a low carbon and climate-resilient future.

As one of New Zealand's foremost consultancies within climate and sustainability, we are seeking a Senior Climate Risk and Adaptation Consultant to assist our strategic clients to understand, assess and manage climate risk and developing adaptation plans and strategies. We have a number of offices across New Zealand and as a flexible working business, we are open to someone that would like to work from any of our offices.

**Na tōu rourou | What you'll bring**
- 7+ years experience in delivering climate change-related assessments and adaptation for public and private sector clients
- Bachelor's degree or similar qualification in relevant disciplines
- Strong knowledge of risk, risk frameworks, and risk management approaches
- Knowledge of the NZ climate policy context and standards
- Knowledge of climate-related financial disclosures
- Ideally, working knowledge of te ao māori concepts, and iwi/māori engagement; and stakeholder engagement with facilitation experience
- Knowledge of adaptation frameworks and approaches, including flexible adaptation pathways, etc.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial, and value points with clients and partners.
- Passion, ability, and creativity to develop innovative methods, concepts, and approaches.
