**About the role**

Te Wānanga O Aotearoa is looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join our whānau as the Manager - School Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, implement, manage, and monitor the successful delivery of external contract requirements by delivering programmes and developing partnerships with schools, government agencies, Kura Kauapa Māori, and Trades Academy providers in the Takiwā.

As the Manager - School Services, you will:

- Drive the development and execution of innovative educational to rangatahi in secondary schools.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with kura kaupapa Māori, secondary schools, industry training providers, and government agencies.
- Oversee programme delivery in Alternative Education, and Secondary Tertiary Partnership programmes.
- Lead and support academic staff, while collaborating with curriculum leaders to ensure programme delivery aligns with guidelines.
- Monitor academic performance, attendance, reporting, and audits.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure educational success and delivery.
- Foster a productive and supportive work environment, ensuring kaimahi feel empowered, connected, well-informed, and updated on current trends.

**About you**

We’re seeking a dedicated and culturally astute leader who can demonstrate strong leadership skills, and build and maintain positive relationships. You will also be someone who can embrace change and show adaptability in an ever-changing environment to drive educational success.

You will also bring the following:

- A Bachelors Degree in Education, Te Reo Māori, Social Services, or Business Management.
- Unit Standards 4098, 11281, 18203.
- 5+ years’ experience in delivering services to youth.
- 3+ years’ experience in staff management.
- 5+ years’ experience in Business Management.
- 3-5 years’ experience in supervising and leading teams to achieve contract milestones.
- Ideally fluent in Te Reo Māori and can provide guidance and leadership in this area.
- Proven success in delivering external contract requirements and building partnerships within education.
- Strong leadership skills in developing innovative models for educational success.
- Full drivers’ license.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
