Hamilton, New Zealand St Paul’s Collegiate School Full time

**Located in St Paul's Collegiate School Hamilton**:

- 3.5 Middle Management Units per annum ($7,500)
- 2.5/25 class time allowance
- Modern onsite accommodation

St Paul’s Collegiate School is one of New Zealand’s premier independent day and boarding schools for Year 9-13 boys and Year 11-13 girls. With a growing roll of currently 870 students, our school offers a learning environment that fosters academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, character education and traditional values.

We are looking for a passionate and engaging person who has a genuine interest in pastoral care to join one of our three Boys' houses (Clark) from Term 1, 2025.

Due to the nature of the Deputy Housemaster position, the successful applicant will be required to live on-site (in a house attached to the boarding house) and be willing to commit to the boarding lifestyle - including morning, evening, overnight, and weekend hours. You and your family would be welcomed to our onsite community, living in a modern 2-bedroom house with all utility costs covered (e.g., wifi, power). Meals in the Dining Hall are also available when you are on duty.

The Deputy Housemaster is appointed as a permanent full-time teacher (and a fixed term Deputy Housemaster for an initial 3-year period with the opportunity for further extension) and receives a 2.5/25 class time allocation per week for their Boarding role. The Boarding Community is close-knit and supported by the Associate Headmaster - School Operations and Head of Boarding Operations.

St Paul’s is well-resourced, has small class sizes, and has very motivated and self-disciplined students. Staff enjoy benefits including daily cooked lunches, generous leave provisions, and a supportive and collegial environment. A competitive remuneration package is on offer, including teacher salary scale plus a St Paul’s Allowance of $5,022 per annum. There is also an annual bonus round, rewarding staff involvement in our co-curricular programme and academic scholarship.

At St Paul’s our vision is turning possibilities into realities, and we are on a mission to prepare our students for life in the global environment. Alongside other key priorities, we want to be considered as New Zealand’s premier Boarding school, reflecting outstanding facilities, expert pastoral care, and diverse boarder engagement activities. We want staff who will commit to our vision and mission and who will work with us in achieving our strategic goals.
