We are on the hunt for a
**User Experience Designer** to join our product design team in our Auckland office on the Shore.

We're looking for someone with a creative bent of mind, strong analytical skills, and strong design thinking abilities, who can envision how people experience products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and valued.

**The role**
In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and quality assurance, to create user experiences that are intuitive, consistent, and engaging.

The main responsibilities include:

- Conduct user research and analysis to gain insights into user behaviour, pain points, and preferences.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to iterate and improve designs.
- Create user personas, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
- Present design ideas and concepts effectively to stakeholders.

Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and IoT.

Being flexible, motivated and open to learning continuously are crucial in this role.

**Furthermore, you will have**:

- 2-5 years of professional experience in a user experience, product design, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful digital products.
- Strong hold on design practices and methods.
- Proficiency in design tools, including Figma, Sketch and testing tools.
- Experience, and delivery of interaction design for web and touch-based experiences (e.g., Apps, Tablets, Kiosks).
- Prior experience with IOT or hardware-software integrated products will be good to have.
- A strong portfolio is required. We want to see both the finished work and the thought process that went into it, from concept to completion of the final products.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
