Due to exciting project wins and continuing growth, we’re looking for a Contracts Manager to join our local team in Whangārei.

Perhaps you’re an experienced QS who’s wanting to make a move into contracts management, or maybe you have contract administration experience, and you want to expand on that. As a Contracts Manager you’ll be great at solving puzzles - reviewing and making decisions on some complex work, with the added challenge of retaining impartiality. You’ll be excited by the challenge and pace of this unique role.

**The Role**

As Contracts Manager you’ll take oversight of contract management processes - delivering consistent and accurate contract management and administration services, including the following:

- Attend PCG meetings, minuting actions so nothing gets left undone.
- Build strong relationships with clients and be a trusted advisor, keeping them posted of contractual issues and following up to close out.
- Draft and issue approved contract instructions.
- Review of programme and drafting Extension of Time claims.
- Managing the monthly payment claim process.
- Support others, building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Project Management opportunity, dependent on your background

**Here’s what we need from you**:

- Minimum three years' experience, this could be as a PM, QS, Contracts Administrator or similar.
- Relevant qualifications at a tertiary level within Project Management, Construction Management (QS/Economics), Engineering, Property, Law or similar is preferred.
- Experience working in the construction industry and understanding of the responsibilities and obligations of the parties involved in the project.
- You’ll have experience working with, and knowledge of NZS3910 contracts and the Construction Contracts Act.
- Ideally, you’ll have the ability to understand and action contractual instructions, prepare correspondence and provide reporting.
- An affinity for working collaboratively and collectively with project teams, working towards the same goals.
- Good decision-making and confidence to ask questions in order to make sound judgements.
- Great communication skills - both verbal and written.
- The ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- You’ll need a driver’s license for travel to local sites and to attend occasional regional meetings and events.
